About Me

1). Family

-My name is Raghav Sharma, I was born and raised in the small boating town of Northport, Long Island. I am the youngest of 3, with 2 older sisters who are more like mothers to me. I am a first generation American, with both my parents immigrating here from India when they were younger, and opened up 2 successful "Carvel" ice cream businesses that we still own to this day. My parents are the world to me and are the hardest working people I know, who put their children first before themselves, a quality that I am forever in debt to them.





2). Hobbies



























-I love sports, and always have as a kid, I tried all sports as a kid and still play different sports, every week with my friends. As much as I love playing sports, I enjoy watching them, and my favorite sports teams are the New York Rangers, New York Yankees, New York Giants, and painfully the New York Knicks. My favorite sport to part take in is Wrestling, the same sport i played through out High School; wrestling is the hardest sport in my opinion, because its one of the few sports where it isn't team oriented and depends solely on an  individuals conditioning, training, craft, and smarts to be successful in. Another newer hobby that I started with my father, is yoga, I've always suffered from anxiety and stress, that yoga is a great way to manage that stress and challenge any anxieties.  


3). Work



















- Like I said earlier, my parents own two Carvel ice cream stores in Northport, and East Northport. I often work at these stores, and even manage the entire East Northport business on my own, including customer service, staff training, inventory, and bills. To get a taste of the real world, where I'm not the boss, I started a paid internship at my uncle's law firm in Manhattan, and there I do....absolutely nothing. So if anyone needs legal advice, I'm probably not your guy, but if you need an Ice Cream Cone, I got you.  





4). Future Goals

- My future is unclear to be at this point, for awhile I planned that I would transfer to Stony Brook University and pursue an education in medicine and eventually become a doctor, in the hopes to work for my cousin's practice. But since my internship at a law firm and my business background, Business litigation is definitely an option for me.





5). Heros

- A person who I always looked up to and see as my hero is my father, Satish Sharma. He came from a rural and poor village in Punjab, in northern India, and found his way to the greatest country in the world, America, to better his family's lives. One thing my father never forgot is his family, and his loyalty is a feature I try to incorporate in my life. As of late my father has fallen ill, and has trouble walking, but  he never complains and is incredibly strong willed. My dedication and loyalty to him and my family makes me work even harder to seek his recovery.
